Linda’s first experience of accountancy was in industry working for a meat processing company. It was here that she trained as a Chartered Certified Accountant, qualifying in 1980. She subsequently moved into the airline industry, working for British Caledonian Airways (where she met her husband), British Airways and United Airlines. In between, she also spent time working for a company that was planning to develop Battersea Power Station into a theme park. Needless to say that job was short lived.
Linda gave up full-time work in 1991, when she had her eldest son, and took a break from work for seven years until 1998, when she approached Andrew Levy, who originally set up our ‘Levy & Co’ office. Since then, she has worked part-time and deals with all areas of taxation and accounts.
Married to John, who is also an accountant, Linda has lived in Lingfield and now South Godstone for over 30 years. When she finds time away from her life as a busy mother of two (now grown-up) boys, Linda enjoys playing badminton, Zumba, walking in the local countryside and catching up with friends. She is a keen follower of tennis and looks forward to her annual visits to Wimbledon.
