Mark obtained an Honours Degree in Hotel & Catering Management from The University of Surrey, before embarking on a 12 year career in management with various large out of town British retailers. He subsequently spent 12 years in various roles within the finance function of companies in the food production and district energy sectors, during which time he trained as a Chartered Certified Accountant.
In 2014 he decided to move into practice in order to utilise his qualification more fully and came to work for Roger Lugg and Co in Lingfield. Mark provides a general accounting and tax service to clients and his business and management accounting background provides a very useful perspective.
Mark lives near Horsham with his partner Sue and has two teenage daughters. He likes to ski and enjoys watching most sports, but particularly endurance car racing, having attended the Le Mans 24 hours race numerous occasions. He also tries to get to as many music events as possible, including big events such as Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton and The Who and small live music events in his local area. On quieter days he tends numerous varieties of vegetables on the newly cultivated vegetable plot at the end his garden.
