A little bit about us…

It’s our communication and team skills that help you get the best from your finances.Having been operating since 1976, we are trusted and highly respected in the Surrey area.

But it doesn’t stop there, we also have clients all over the UK.With digital accounting we are able to work with you wherever you are and keep ahead of the curve in the technology world to ensure the best for you or your business.

Where we come from

Established in 1976, Roger Lugg & Co has spent the last four decades guiding our clients through four economic booms, and three busts.

Combining an entrepreneurial spirit with the very best qualifications money can buy we prove our value to our clients every day. Our services aren’t limited to those of the traditional accountant; we are business partners, trusted advisers and, in many cases, friends.

Our team of 20+ professionals come from a variety of backgrounds, and bring with them their own perspectives on business, life and numbers. From motor-racing petrol heads to first year apprentices our personal values and expertise align where it counts, advising you on your business.

Where are we going?

Never content with resting on our laurels we are in a continuous state of flux. As our clients grow, so do we. And with that our knowledge requirements increase proportionally. So, when we’re not actually doing ‘the accounting’, ‘the advising’ ‘the guiding’ or ‘the handholding’ we’re doing ‘the learning’. And we pass that learning on to you.

Bruce Chapman

Partner

Obtaining a 2:1 in Accounting and Financial Management at Loughborough University in 1996, Bruce found an immediate position at Roger Lugg and Co. By 1999 he had qualified as a chartered accountant and after great success, Roger made Bruce a partner in 2001. In 2009 Bruce became a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants allowing him to use the designation FCA. Bruce, quite the petrol head, is married to Clair and they live near Lingfield with their two boys, Harry and George.

Roger Lugg & Co started from Roger’s house in Caterham in 1976, with his wife Rosie as secretary and payroll assistant. Many clients followed him from his old firm in Croydon and are still with the firm to this day. In 1978, the firm moved into Caterham high street. An office was set up in Lingfield during 1986 and then the acquisition of the Levy & Co office in 2008. Roger and Rosie now live in Hurst Green. Whilst he is semi-retired, he continues to provide the firm with invaluable advice and support. In his spare time he works tirelessly for the local church in his new role as church warden. He is an adept gardener and he swims daily to keep fit.
